Daily postings of interesting news, photos and other commentary. Maybe even the occasional rant. And some Jeep stuff too. And as always, I will continue to reveal the treacherous actions of the snakes.

Animals in the news
Uh, OK. And people think Americans are strange.
Headline of the Day!
I shall add this to my trivia list.
Meh . . . . I would have done the same thing.
Moo.
The following is not animal related . . . but had to be included!
Oh no . . . . . this is just classic. In tomorrows editorial, "What weighs more? A ton of feather or a ton of lead."

How to you keep Fido "Man's best friend"? Get him one of these.
And in today's "Oh Sweet Jesus" picture category, I humbly present this. Heh - visitors to the zoo got their money's worth that day.
This gives new definition to "Headlights."
YESSSSSSS! Now if I can just find research indicating that driving a Jeep is exercise, I am all set!

First, it is worthy to note that Dixie and I have been dating for ONE YEAR now. Amazing. And a very good thing!
I did not have much on the calendar for this evening . . . . maybe just some putzing around the house. That is, until I noticed the river of engine coolant flowing down from my parking spot. Water pump? Hose? Hole in side of engine? Not sure yet.
Other thing of note: Dixie bought a new JK over the weekend. Very cool. This means the black on black Jeep is for sale.

Here is the new one . . . it will be mondified just as soon as the black Jeep is gone.

Word of the day: "Lolly"
First, it is worth noting that Kurt Vonnegut passed away yesterday. So it goes.
This article hits the trifecta! 1. it is about snakes, 2. has a goofy picture and 3. the author has a funny last name.
I know how to solve this Delaware mystery . . . . . just look for the town's 58 year old slut.
Uh, whuuuuuuuuuut? Who is going to build this town? That's what I want to know! Flame on!
I never knew Morrison was a native.
Once again, I apologize to corporate America for posting this game. Love the piano!

What can brown do for you?
Me: I am going into a meeting, but just so that you know, FedEx Ground will be delivering a new garbage can for the front of the shopping center and a new cigarette butt container. Just have them place it in the warehouse for Will (the maintenance guy) to pick up.
Debbie: OK, will do!
Some time passes.
My phone rings.
Will: Whoa man! is there some kind of party going on?
Me: What do you mean?
Will: Well, I have 14 boxes of all kinds of fun things down here!
Me: Will, what are you talking about?
Will: I have 14 boxes of pornos, whips, shackles, edible underbritches (direct quote) I assume you ordered them.
Me: (Interesting that he would think that) No . . . that would not be me - what does the label say?
Will: It says 1212 E Fowler Ave . . . . . Oooooooooooooo That's that sex shop down the road!
(Our address is 1717 E.Fowler Ave.)

Weekend Recap
On Friday night Emost, Dix and I went to a smoker at a new cigar shop. The high point: said cigar shop is now my newest tenant . . . YES!
That is emost on the left, and the owner of Buccaneo Cigars on the right.

Saturday's adventure was in Zephyrhills at a place I had never been before . . . . but it was a blast! Matt and Meriel were co-pilots.
I was too busy driving to take too many pictures . . . but:
Dixie hit her head (no damage:)

A tree came out of no where and sprang up in front of me (little damage:)

After the wheeling trip I went out to the Team Green skunkworks where Emost and Lee were buttoning up some of the details on the rig in preparation of the next competition season.

And then it was off to the rock pile for a shake down!

What's that noise? Huh. Curious. Back to the shop.

At sunset it started to cool of quite a bit . . . . fortunately I brought my 8 ton Diesel fired heater with me.

Later on it was time for a bonfire.

On Sunday Dixie and I went to the Inverness ranch to meet up with the family for Easter festivities . . . . we also found a Jeep playground on the property.

Michelle and Nick spectating.

Look what she did to my Jeep!

The M715 saw some action too!

It lives! X2!
This is shaping up to be quite the banner month for the random internal combustion engines scattered about my home. I am happy to report that last night the M715 moved under its own power for the first time since I bought it.
Not sure if it is ready for a road trip . . . . but I am driving it to the Inverness ranch on Thursday. (with 2,000 lbs. of sack-crete in the back)
For those of you who do not know what an M715 is:
VietNam era ex-military pick up truck made by Jeep. Very heavy duty.
This is how it looks right now . . . . but soon it will get the proper military paint theme and markings

It lives!
I spent Saturday morning recovering from a party that I hosted on Friday. (On a side note . . . . it was somewhat strange seeing someone passed out in my lawn. I thought after the 10 year break of having drunken "lawn gnomes" that phase of my life was gone. Huh, who knew?)
The afternoon was much more productive, after burning $25 of fuel to purchase a $12 part, the boat once again roared to life! A shake-down cruise was held Saturday night. Dixie has a great time . . . .
Now Sunday - that's what it is all about . . . . boat, blistering sun, beverages, bikinis, boo . . . . never mind. But a group of us did head out into the bay for the airshow . . . the jets were just above the deck and right over head! I did not bring my camera - but I did grab there with the camera-phone.

Yes I know the pictures suck . . . . . someone on board must have had a camera . . . I'll see what I get.
On another topic . . . . the off road adventure to River Rock: awesome! Nothing broke . . . .Dixie and I took turns behind the wheel of my Jeep.
